Automechanika 2012 Notes
Here are some updates from 3D International in Automechanika Frankfurt, 2012. We had a great show. Automechanika is definitely one of the largest show’s 3D has ever been a part of and it’s definitely larger than SEMA. While foot traffic is a bit more sparse than SEMA, I think it’s due to the fact that this show is also 6 days compared to SEMA, which is 4 days.
Juan DeRada, 3D International’s flew directly into Barcelona to see the progress of the new European 3D Training Center, which will open on September 22. GM Juan and Juan Vincent Herrero (European Market Representative) drove up from Barcelona to Frankfurt in 14 hours. Juan told the 3D team, “It would have taken us less time, but it took us forever to find some snacks. At least we came across some 3D Gum, branded in our colors.”
Meanwhile Tunch Goren (CEO/Founder of 3D) and Serra Goren (Director of Business Development) flew in from the US. Mr. Goren was most excited for the response the HD line received from attendees. He said, “HD has some of the best compounds in the world now. We have something for every user; whether you’re looking for something more aggressive, minor correction, or even paint correction by hand, you’re a professional or a do-it-yourselfer. HD IS the easiest line to use out there.”
As you can see from the images of our booth it we had a lot of foot traffic and interest.
While everyone was a bit jet-lagged, we all made it to enjoy some of the delicious German food at Roemer Platz. We had everything from Pig Knuckles, Lox, Sausages, frankfurters, sauerkraut, German potatoes, but not without some German Beer. It was a very authentic meal.
